How to Grow
Position
Full sun

Raise in trays of Seed Raising Mix or sow direct into shallow rows. Keep moist and transplant after 8-10 weeks.
Care
Select a sunny position with well drained organically-rich soil. Add Blood & Bone and Lime & Dolomite before planting. Water regularly and apply organic liquid fertiliser for quick growth. Protect from snails and slugs.
Hint
For whiter stems, exclude light by wrapping lower stems for the last few weeks before harvest. Pick outer stems with a sideways pull, leaving young leaves to continue growing. Companion plant with beans, leeks, tomatoes and peas.
